TOP 5 2022 Marketing Trends — Don't get left behind in the marathon

The highly competitive market is like an endless marathon and you have to outrun your competitors. To do this you must always stay updated on the latest marketing trends. The first quarter of 2022 is already ending and for us it is the right time to confirm the trends in marketing that will affect and influence the market this year. If you haven't already incorporated the following aspects into your marketing strategy, whatever you're a B2B or B2C company, you should at least take them into consideration.

1. Influencer Marketing

It doesn't come to surprise that the first trend this year is Influencer Marketing. Influencers not only have thousands or millions of followers, but they are professional in their field or topic they talk about and they know how to manage the platforms they're on perfectly. The audience is conditionally and unconditionally influenced by the information they provide, particularly when we talk about micro-influencer: they have thousands to tens of thousands of followers and are still considered common people, consequently also their recommendations are considered more trustworthy. With Influencer Marketing, both B2B and B2C companies can expand brand awareness and gain new leads.

2. Short Video Marketing

While short videos don't provide as insightful information as long ones, they are the trend of the moment. Getting to the point with short videos can actually be more effective than other types of content. Short videos will help to have a better performance and increase audience engagement.

3. VR/AR

Meta is just an example of virtual reality, but even before its birth there were examples of VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) on the Internet. Users are increasingly attracted to try a similar experience. It will certainly be one of the first tools that companies will consider for their digital marketing even though it will cost more than other types of promotion methods. The most common choices are virtual exhibition stands or digital showrooms.

4. Permanent social posts

As you might have guessed, permanent social media posts are much more efficient than ephemeral ones that will be hidden from the public after 24 hours. For this reason they are one of the components in which companies will invest more of their time and creativity.

It should be noted, however, that this does not mean that ephemeral posts should not be taken into consideration for your marketing, rather they must be part of your social media strategy as they encourage greater involvement of your target group.

5. Social Responsibility

With everything going on in the world from 2020 to today, consumers are just checking how their favorite brands react and what actions they take to these events. They no longer seek brand neutrality, but want him to be involved in politics and social issues. For example, in the field of work, social media audiences often discuss exploitation, unfairness and workplace treatment.

Even if you won't have immediate results, your interest in some kind of issues should be included in your marketing strategy.

The marketing trends are not over

We have presented to you only the first five trends that in 2022 most companies should  invest more. But in reality there are other popular trends that have already been used by companies for a few years. For example, mobile optimization can add more value to your Customer Experience Marketing; professional SEO will rank you on the top research and generate more leads; podcast or audio content is the sparkle that your company needs and at the end, not for importance, inbound marketing is still the core for your brand growth.
